Once again, we find ourselves saying “this year has gone by in a flash!” and what a year it’s been. Our teams have done plenty of amazing work for charity this year, and we’ve all had fun along the way.
Here’s a look back at some of our community highlights throughout 2022:
Haverhill Rovers Sponsor
We are pleased to announce our Haverhill site is now a sponsor for the local Haverhill Rovers Football Club! The club kindly invited Tracy and Yasser from AFL Hyperscale over to the club site to thank them personally for their sponsorship.

Willen Hospice Shop Volunteering
Several of our associates dedicated their time to helping the Willen hospice shop in MK get ready for opening. This included painting and tidying, sorting clothes, and helping put together the donation displays.

McMillan Coffee Morning
Coffee Morning saw both our Milton Keynes and Haverhill sites bake up a storm with treat left, right, and center. The sites managed to raise a total of £516.38 between them!
Macmillan Cancer Support | The UK’s leading cancer care charity
25-Mile Challenge for MK Food Bank
Our dedicated associate Dan participated in a fundraising event for Milton Keynes foodbank which saw him traverse 25 miles around the local area, rain and shine, to raise a total of £673.

Month of Service
All the departments at the Milton Keynes office chose a charity to donate to in the month of September. These donations included clothing and food collections, vaccination volunteering, and book donations to a local church.
Haverhill PJ Day
Our Haverhill site raised a fantastic £550 for the Haverhill First Responders with a staff PJ Day, BBQ, wet sponge throwing, and a basketball game with their neighbors Cambridge Rapid.
The money raised will contribute to the maintenance of Responder Kits, training equipment, and the Community Public Access Defibrillator (CPAD) Project.

YMCA Soup Fest
Our copywriter Rhiannon contributed a recipe to the YMCA Soup Fest, with all the proceeds of the recipe book going towards helping disadvantaged youth in the Milton Keynes area.
YMCA England & Wales – We believe in young people
Several of our associates volunteered at MK Snap, a Special Needs Advancement Project, working with learners in the classroom, making Christmas wreaths together, and helping tidy up the garden.

What’s Still to Come?
Christmas Jumper Day
We’ve still got our annual Christmas Jumper Day to look forward to on the 8th of December so dig out your best and brightest knits from the back of your wardrobe. We hope to raise a little bit of money for charity as well as spread some festive cheer!
KidsOut Christmas Tree Giving Tags
For the whole of December, we will be displaying a Christmas tree in reception at the Milton Keynes office with KidsOut Giving Tags. Anyone who wishes to take part can take a tag, purchase the recommended gift, and leave it under the tree. The recipients are children who have escaped domestic violence, being forced to flee their homes quickly and leave all possessions behind, as well as children who are living in the highest areas of deprivation in the country and/or living with a disability, serious illness, or life-limiting conditions. Without our Giving Tree, these children may not otherwise receive a gift at Christmas nor have their Christmas wish come true.
The successful Christmas single will make a return this year to raise funds for the Milton Keynes Food Bank. You can listen to the song from December 16th, donation details will be announced near the time.
MK Food Bank provides short-term crisis support and cares for families and individuals in Milton Keynes.
Donation for The Winter Night Shelter
AFL Hyperscale will be making a £1000 donation to The Winter Night Shelter.
The Winter Night Shelter in Milton Keynes is a year-round charity helping many different people at their point of crisis. They support rough sleepers, sofa surfers, people in emergency accommodation or temporary housing, people in need of support with their tenancies, anyone at risk of homelessness and others who are vulnerable.
